• some have plastic shrink wrap around the outside of the jar which can be removed .When the lid is removed you will have the minerals in the jar visable.
• the other type you receive is the jar with lid closed.When you remove the lid there is a seal underneath, on what is called a sifter [a plastic insert with holes].

When you peel back the seal or poke holes through the corresponding holes underneath, you can then tap out the minerals under sifter to use.Once lid is put back on the jar can be shaken or tipped upside down and minerals will not come out.

The next time you open the jar it is a good idea to tap its base on a flat surface as it will drop any minerals clinging to lid back into the jar.Then remove the lid with the jar on the flat surface.Some minerals will now be above the sifter as the original factory seal has been broken.

Use any way you prefer [some tip a little into the lid to use swirl,tap buff method.Others like to dip brush of choice into minerals to pick up desired amount then use swirl,tap buff method before application to face.

Swirl -swirl the brush in the jar lid for even distribution and maximum uptake of the minerals in the brush bristles.

Tap -turn the brush upside down [bristles up] and tap gently on the side of the lid [with the bristles over the lid] to catch any extra minerals not carried in the bristles.

Buff -start where ever you prefer and buff your face in little circles with the brush until you have done a complete application.If you prefer more coverage repeat the whole process again.

Please remember this is a guide, some may last longer or less depending on usage.This is for manufactured sealed products.

You may not have read this anywhere else but it is a simple truth.The better your skin the better your results.This means if you want the best results from your mineral makeup you have to make a small commitment to yourself and your face.

That does not mean you can't get great results if you have problem skin.This range is dermatoligist recommended but as with all things in life,if you already get medical advice for your skin, medical opinion should always be sought and followed before adding anything that can be bought over the counter.

What am I talking about?

Mostly the hydration of your skin.This is improved by drinking water [recommended 6-8 glasses a day] and reducing use of all enjoyable vices where possible [alcohol,smoking and caffeine].Other positive influcences include getting much more sleep than is actually possible and a basic skin routine.How much of the previous you care to address is up to you.The skin care can be easily included in daily activities.If you can get a cleanser,moisturiser and a face scrub [exfoliatant] within your budget,thats the basics taken care of.

The internet has make your own face product recipes so you could even make your own if you don't want to spend money on buying them.See links page if interested.

If you can cleanse and moisturise in the morning and night you will notice a huge difference in your skin [especially if this is not what you would normally do....I figure if you care enough to make the effort with mineral make up why not commit to yourself 100% and get even better results]

For best results you must moisturise before applying minerals to face and you must wait for it to dry [to avoid getting patchy effect of dry minerals sticking to moist face].A good way to test if moisturiser is dry is touching the skin...if its not tacky to touch its dry.

Scrubs [or exfoliants for those who like big words] are a necessity if you buy a moisturiser.Put simply they aid to slough off dead skin cells on the surface of your face exposing healthy new skin cells underneath.If you do this once [ideally twice] a week any creams you put onto your face will be absorbed better [reduced layer of dead cells getting in the way].Moisturiser will also work better as its getting to the skin cells that get maximum benefit of the ingredients.Not to mention leave your skin soft and smooth.

No excuses... I have a 5 and 3 year old and I get face time when they have their bedtime bath so there is always a way to make it work around your lifestyle....[also a good time to paint toe nails....Lets face it,with kids this age its challenge enough to find time to brush your hair!]
